Welcome to my blog.

I use it to think out loud about things I find interesting. The topics I blog about typically fall into one of five categories:

  • Newsmakers: The people, events and issues currently making news.
  • Big Ideas and Big Thinkers: This is where I comment on the idea of people I admire who, to quote Daniel Burnham, make no small plans.
  • Leadership Lessons: I’m a student of leadership and this is where I talk about a variety of leadership topics.
  • Sports: I don’t comment on sports so much as I discuss things leaders can learn from the world of sports.
  • Mike’s Musings: This section is reserved for stuff, anything I find interesting can find a home here.

I want my blogs to be thought provoking and (sometimes) humorous. If anything I’ve written gets your attention and you’d like to comment; I’d love to hear from you.

All the best,
Mike

I had high aspirations for what I could do and what I would become as I incorporated, set up my home office and learned to use QuickBooks. Over the years, there have also been some pleasant and unanticipated benefits that accrue to people who have joined the world of single shingles,…
